Re: This underwhelming offseason
I used to work concessions down at the Kingdome from 86-90. I ran the old BBQ pit, right in front of the M's clubhouse and the little sports museum they had. I would get an advance count before each game so I knew the amount to cook before the gates opened. Those midweek games in 86-87, we'd get a ...

I think he is in the witness relocation program or was picked up by ICE, because no one seems to know where he is or how he is doing.seattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Fri Aug 01, 2025 4:23 amAny word on Gregory Santos???

Re: Williamson
I think Williamson has much more of a chance to improve his bat than JK. Williamson's swing is total dogshit, but he's still able to hit above .250 at the major league level with a 21% K-rate. And he did that after being rushed through the minor leagues and coming from a second or third tier colleg...

Mariner fans, where 20% is satisfactory. You just can't make this shit up. I wonder if when NFL play callers are looking for a go to play, they call the one that works two out of ten times? I bet that when looking for an out pitch, Cal calls the one that the Pitcher executes two times out of ten. I...

Re: It is on the players now. Jerry delivered.
Bottom line is, this is now up to the players to determine how badly they want it and that their play will reflect it. Bar none, this is now the most talented roster in the AL West and if the M's can't catch a hobbled Astros team or are overtaken by a mediocre Rangers roster, they've failed. For al...

Re: This underwhelming offseason
Okay, but the movement has been to new destination style venues isn't it? That's the story to TMobile, the sonics leaving, the Kraken in amazon arena or whatever it is. On the other hand, there's the Mammoth? That's a search for a venue isn't it? That's what I was thinking, how sports generally hav...

Re: 7/29 GT: Win 2 @ Sacramento
I saw this blurb in an article about what it is like in front offices during the trade deadline. This came from a former Red Sox exec... In 2009, we had a three-team deal almost done: Adrian Gonzalez from San Diego to Seattle, Felix Hernandez from Seattle to us, and several young players, including ...
