Re: Something I agree with for once...

Greed. Plain and simple. There was a time when companies wanted to invest for the long haul... hire the right people, train them and retain them. Now? It's all about the greed and making a quick buck. Then sell said company, pocket the money and walk away. So many companies swallowed up as product q...

Re: Post Mortem: Hawks v 9 Volts

I have coached young female athletes for fifteen years now. The amount of them that require kid gloves and have zero toughness is incredible now. The amount that suffer from some sort of social anxiety or are clinically depressed is incredible. No, they don't work from home, but I have many that ha...

Re: Post Mortem: Hawks v 9 Volts

Is it possible that the officiating is terrible simply because the officials are terrible? Because the NHL isn't much different. Shit calls, phantom calls, blatant infractions where no penalty is called... Yet NHL commissioner Bettman will tell you all day long that NHL officials are the best in the...

Re: Post Mortem: Hawks v 9 Volts

I see it this way... the NFL doesn't just want football fans to watch the games, they want EVERYONE to watch the games. It's a business, so they're just trying to expand their customer base. A bigger piece of the pie. It's understandable in a capitalistic society. But I think somewhere along the way...

Re: Post Mortem: Sea v Commodes

I don't agree, JS didn't give him $17 mil a season because of those kick returns. Top kick return specialists in the NFL earn an average annual value of around $6 million. The highest-paid pure return specialist in the league is KaVontae Turpin of the Dallas Cowboys, who signed a three-year, $18 mi...

Re: Post Mortem: Sea v Commodes

I liked the trade and he made some huge plays without which they probably don't get to the SB. That said, he offers little value as a WR so if he isn't near the league lead in kick and punt returns that contract was a waste of money. Looks to me like he is making a log of business (or health) decis...

Re: Around the League - 26 version

The Chiefs will need to find a way to contain Bowers, and the Raiders will need to find a way to contain Walker. Should be interesting.

The sad part is that he's not wrong.
But nether of those mean that 'someone' is right.
I didn't say he was 'right'. I said he was 'not wrong'.
