Re: ABS challenge or lack there of for M’s
To me, the Yankees showed the best approach to ABS. It looked to me that there had been some research done on both homeplate umpire and Castillo. You would think that the information is available on both by this time. Homeplate ump calls low strikes. Castillo works the bottom of the zone. Challenge ...

Re: Who will be the OD SS game thread
Colt heating up but will prob be Rivas. Nice lineup and the game is on Television. I think we are all eager to see the era of Colt Emerson begin, but I also think that it will be Rivas at SS to begin the season. And, it's not like Rivas is just a hunk of meat, he actually played well last year and,...

Re: Randy's replacement in LF game thread
Good thing spring stats dont matter or we wouldnt be able to field a team. Guessing they'll say Cole Young's matter though. And he has looked pretty good, didnt look like a little sissy on that homerun he hit. But spring performance will matter for some, and not for others. Pretty funny. ST is not ...

Re: My preseason roster Grades
Yes, now that Cole is on fire I feel a lot better about 2B and I admit I was scarred by his Kelenesque 3-51 slump to the end the season. I would bump that up to a C right now. Love the "Kelenesque" tag! I had the same fear myself, but Young's psychological makeup is head and shoulders above what Ke...

Re: Who would you rather have at 2B?
I didn't include Marte in this questionnaire, because I feel like we all would prefer Marte. But between Donovan or Polo, who you got? I think that you might have had more peeps chiming in if you had made this a more robust poll. Polonco or Donovan, while probably accurate, is a bit anemic. For me,...

Re: Payroll situation
Another look at the prospective 2026 Seattle Mariner payroll: https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/seattle-mariners/payroll Ummm... They are showing Garver on the roster for 2026 at $12 million, AND, they are showing everyone on the 40-man roster being paid the MLB minimum. That's just not how it works. Whe...

Re: Payroll situation
Total = 134.79 M for 28 Roster spots M's Payroll for 2025 was around 165 Million. So unless they increase significantly they only have about 30 Million to spend. It will take 30 Million just to resign Naylor and Polanco. I predict that there are going to be a ton of disappointed M's fans when they ...
