Maybe they could cut another deal with KSTW channel 11 and put it back on free tv where it belongs (like the good old days).
This team could be on Comedy Central

And bring back the great Wes Stock to replace Sims....He is only 90 yo

They should replace the regular broadcasters with insult comics. Like, Jeff Ross who does all the comedy central roasts. Or the two insulting Muppets :

The Blazers bailing was probably beneficial for the Mariners. It was probably more them owing the Blazers money than losing an income stream
Divish did report in June that ROOT's loss of the Kraken provided some "financial relief" for the Mariners, as both sides walked away without any money owed on either side reportedly. Whether the Trail Blazers' departure represents a similar relief remains to be seen

It would seem like their revenue stream is getting screwed. Its interesting Stanton doesnt seem to use the roots situation as an excuse for diminishing payroll.
“The Comcast situation was that we went through negotiation or renewal negotiation. At the end of the day they made a decision to take some of their customers off of the ROOT broadcast,” Stanton said. “We didn't know the effect of that until December. So, it really didn't have a direct effect on the change of the payroll.”
When asked if the franchise would offer ROOT Sports direct to consumers, he said “We got direct to consumer on FUBO,” adding “We'd like to do more. We're restricted by the agreements that we inherited from ROOT that it had with Comcast and other companies that limit the number of alternatives that we can have. But our number one priority, Chris, our number one priority is for his many fans to be able to watch Mariner programming.”

Stanton went on to say there is no a la carte option to offer the channel directly to fans for, say $19.99 or $24.99 a month.

Having a network contract was always portrayed as a cash cow for the Mariners before they bought the network.

I'd assume the network would be on the hook to pay the Kraken and Blazers in a similar way.

The Mariners have a restaurant to run, they can't afford that.

Is Root even a network anymore? They're pretty much just the Mariner channel. I'm assuming that's why Root was willing to pay the sports teams to begin with. Without them the channel's irrelevant.

Good word. I hate when people said the RETURN of the Sonics like Kemp, Payton and Detlef are being held in a Russian Prison....I honestly think some fans think we will get a former great Sonic team from the past back instead of a bunch of guys nobody has ever heard of.
