Don't look now on the OPS
Don't look now on the OPS
Polanco: 1.005
Cal: .891
Arozarena: .866 (.380 on base!)
Moore: 1.010 (388 obp and .622 slug!)
Meanwhile the slap judies:
Crawford rocking a .390 on base and Mastro rocking a .414 on base! that will work!

Re: Don't look now on the OPS
Had the radio on the other afternoon as I drove to practice, and I swear the announcer said that Crawford's OBP was almost .200 higher than his batting average. For a guy hitting 9th? I'll take it. Just get on base son.
Re: Don't look now on the OPS
Is there anyway to look at batting splits of the first 9 games versus the past 10? It seems that more guys are waking up.
Re: Don't look now on the OPS
He has a .391 OBP, which is excellent. His K/B ratio is 14/14, which is also excellent.Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Apr 18, 2025 6:42 pmHad the radio on the other afternoon as I drove to practice, and I swear the announcer said that Crawford's OBP was almost .200 higher than his batting average. Re: Don't look now on the OPS
his hitting has definitely nosedived over the last 13 months since start of 2024 but if he can continue to get on base and provide the occasional timely hit, JP can continue to start at SS for this team until Celesten, Emerson are readyGL_Storm wrote: ↑Fri Apr 18, 2025 6:54 pmHe has a .391 OBP, which is excellent. Re: Don't look now on the OPS
The improvement has been almost entirely about Slugging. OBP is up a tick but Slugging is up almost 100 points. 10 HR and 5 doubles in the first 9 games verses 16 HR and 16 doubles in the last 10.
Re: Don't look now on the OPS
As of game 22 115 OPS+ 99 ERA+ with Brash and potentially Kirby coming back.
And the Mariners are winning at a 54% rate
