Like christian Walker, or in terms of a trade Triston Casas. There's a lot to complain about with the mariners FO but they did manage to dodge some bullets. There was complaining about not adding Jake burger and Joc Peterson but those two are now sucking for the rangers, I picked the rangers btw to win the division because of those sorts of moves. Dipoto may be cheap and also gun-shy. I get the feeling they could be avoiding player commitments because of the high rate of failure.Millikin wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 6:23 amIt's been the X—factor this season, getting good performances that we didn't expect.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 6:16 amMariners win! Two runs in two games allowed by Evans and Hancock. Who the hell saw that coming.
A's far as platoons go: It's such a flawed concept, because they're not going to pay for two good players at a position. They pay for two average players, and if one sucks, then you've just got a bum playing whenever there's a particular-armed pitcher.
I'd rather one good player who might have trouble against lefties and a long-shot type backup (like a AAA Locklear type).

Me? If you want to play Rivas over Mastrobuoni it's fine with me, my guess for them favoring Mastrobuoni over rivas would be position flexibility, they like his defense
What I'll predict, or suggest going forward is Young to second base, Rivas to 3rd, Mastrobuoni and Moore utility players. Would that right that wrong? That's what I meant by straighten some things out

If you put Moore at 3B and Rivas at 2B, we wouldn't need Young.
Just keep Miles where he belongs. On the bench.

Yeah, i was thinking in terms of how they set up their roster. Miles and Moore were on the opening day roster as utility players.
They traded for Miles, he has a higher OPS this season than he did last when they did. I'm guessing they are happy with him, OPS wasn't a concern. Him and Moore get back to their original jobs as utility players
