I haven't watched many games this year to know if Dan Wilson is pulling the wrong strings. But, Scott Servais sucked in my opinion.

That being said, you're 100% right that the manager WAR can only be so high or low. This isn't football or basketball. Any one of us could do Dan Wilson's job. Fill out a lineup card and change pitchers.

If Kirby and Logan find their grooves the Ms should be able to have winning streaks going forward. Worst case I think they'll be a road team in a WC series which will be winnable because they have arms that are capable of neutralizing any offense.

Which is exactly what Ron Francis did to save his job by firing Dave Hakstol and hiring Dan Bylsma. When that didn't work, he fired Bylsma and just like DiPoto, he was "promoted".

Ask yourself honestly, which felt more likely to continue? Do you look at this roster and see a team that is likely to finish the season with the second best record in the AL, or be a few games over .500 and a few games out of the playoffs? I think we are more likely to finish under .500 than we are to win the division.
