Kinda fun watching the pros from the rough 15ft off the green take 3 chips to get on, makes me feel normal even if Imdid that it wouldn’t be from the roughJuliooooo wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 2:09 amIs playing 4 straight days at 6 under on a course with a rating of 76 at 7500 yards relatable? It’s just another way to show that these hits are just on another levelmaoling wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 2:05 amI see your point. An ultimate challenge for the best of the best. My problem is that no mortal can play that course in under maybe 135. It's just unrelatable to a regular Sunday golfer. You can look at Augusta or even the freaky pot bunkers in the British Opens or the 17th at TPC Sawgrass and imagine what if. But not at this joint.

MM, nice job keeping everyone in the hunt.... well with the exception of Bil521.
Bil521,
Dude, what a bunch of bad luck.
I do find it funny that most of the first and 2nd picks either are gone or squeaked by at the bottom of the leader board.

Don't worry, Bil - you are still in the contest. The ruling for this (to avoid a PGA situation) was that we allocate players if you miss the cut, but they are selected from the bottom of the current leaderboard and can't already be in anyone else's squad.
So you get Laurie Canter (+7) and Ryan McCormick (+7) - to replace your best 2 players which were Joaquin Niemann (+10) and Cameron Smith (+8), their +18 is still credited to your score, but of course you don't get the +7 and +7 of your two newbies. The spreadsheet will take into account the 4 stroke variance between your old and new so you end Round 2 on +21 and still start Round 3 on +21.
Had anybody else not got 3 players through, they would have been allocated James Nicholas, then Niklas Norgaard Moller and so on. We are not having anyone miss the cut - but the penalty is you get someone nearly as shit as the players you lose....
Well done baller and SoB for getting all 6 players through to the weekend. Remarkable stuff. I can't believe I am still in contention at this point and an under par day on Friday - mostly thanks to picking Sam Burns who shot 65 on that course.

Just a re-post of the link to the scoreboard. I just post it occasionally to save you scrambling around to find it. Hope it behaves when the 3rd round tees off.

Pretty good first 2 rounds for me. I guess the only thing I could have done was gone for Xander or Rahm over Bryson, but Bryson had been playing pretty well at the majors and win the open last year. Hovland has been playing some great golf though. Has a few 3 putts Thursday that hurt him, and a double bogey yesterday when he got stuck in the rough of the tee box. I like his chances of continuing to stay at the top of the leaderboard though

This is the toughest course I have ever forumed on.
Looking at mm's latest scoreboard (btw, Mike, brilliant effort and presentation once again), I noticed that the absolute most horrific score left of our protagonists is my Cameron Davis score. +19. Glad he's my 4th and doesn't count; otherwise, I'd be looking up at Bil(shorty) in the standings.
Davis is probably messing up, thrashing in the rough, because I insulted him when I signed up. I called him "Cameroon".

Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

Juliooooo could be en route to his first major. But, I wouldn't rule anything out in this contest. Baller at one point just got his nose in front at +7 only to finish the day seven shots back. If anyone in the tip 7 can go E, -1 or -2 for the day they could still steal it.
Similar for the real tourney. Someone like Tyrell Hatton or even Scheffler might hit a 65 and pinch the victory. Interesting day ahead.
