R.I.P. Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg

Sandberg, a Spokane, WA. native, passed away today at 65. Great 2nd baseman, one of the all-time best.
Drafted by the Phillies, played in 13 games for them. Traded to the Cubs, where he played 15 seasons and closed out his career with Chicago..
I met his mother in Seattle when I was in the moving business and set up a couple of moves for her locally. Nice lady, although I got the sense they may have been a little estranged.
Ryne was inducted into the HOF in 2005.

Sandberg was a hell of a player. A very bright part of a dark period of Cubs baseball.

It's a real reminder to enjoy life while you can. You might only get 65.
