Yeah seems like we need Jax for another high leverage bullpen arm, a starter, and get another bat also. As I said - we've given up nobody off our top prospects... of those 7-8 prospects - maybe 1-2 will amount to anything - trade them!!! Get Cruz or Duran for RF, trade for Ryan and Jax from Minn and call it a day.

Why does everyone want Jax. His numbers aren't great. 4.50 ERA and a 1.283 WHIP. ERA+ of 95 and a WAR of .2. He strikes a lot of people out but he has been average at best this season.

Hahaha those are pipe dreams. Boston is fighting for wc spot. They wont trade Duran. Jax not going anywhere. I see Ryan going to Skanks or Cheaters Mariners are gonna maybe get a minor league type pitcher

I take it back and will eat a crow sandwich.

Jerry got Josh Naylor and Geno Suarez.

He added a mid leverage bullpen arm also.

That's a pretty good deadline.

IF they add another arm I'll be estatic!
If they keep Naylor, where would Locklear play?
So we officially have no 1b for next year. Move Ford to 1b. Transition him now!!! He will never catch here!!
He's way more valuable as a trade piece and they can trade him in the off season

There's lots of good 1B options in the FA class next year depending on how spendy the FO wants to get.

Personally, I am happy with Naylor, and would love to see a way that we could bring him back.

1B Free Agents: Pete Alonso (opt-out), Josh Naylor, Paul Goldschmidt, Rhys Hoskins (mutual option), Carlos Santana, Justin Turner, Josh Bell, LaMonte Wade Jr., Wilmer Flores, Donovan Solano, Ty France, Connor Joe

I'm shocked at how Jerry thought all our bullpen needed was 1 lhp and that's it. Bizarre.

Look at his underlying numbers. Last year he was a 207 ERA+ guy with 2.8 BWAR. His fip last year was 1.94 and this year he is at 2.00. 14.1K/9 is a weapon. His BABIP last year was .272 and this year it is .393. That has sent his H/9 from 6 to 9. He is still the same pitcher and a change of scenery will probably have him throw about 13 innings for us without giving up a run.

Mariners beat writers said we are done. Dont think this roster can contend will see. Geno might just be a nostalgic type move. Give the fans some good vibes to finish 3rd missing out by 4 games.
