I saw the comment in the Jude article saying that the M's had more to spend then ever. So I thought I'd Check that out. I really don't think thats the case.

M's Payroll for 2025 was around 165 Million. So unless they increase significantly they only have about 30 Million to spend. It will take 30 Million just to resign Naylor and Polanco. I predict that there are going to be a ton of disappointed M's fans when they see the way this off season plays out.

With two years and 121 days of MLB service, Woo falls short of Super Two status and is likely to earn near the league minimum of $820,000 in 2026.

That difference of at least $1.5 million can be compounded annually over their three additional years of team control in 2027-29.

I agree with your prediction. lol And Jerry says it will be the highest payroll ever assuming that none of the fanbase knows what inflation is. Payroll in 2018 was $162M with is over $210M in 2025 and about $215M in 2026.

Ummm... They are showing Garver on the roster for 2026 at $12 million, AND, they are showing everyone on the 40-man roster being paid the MLB minimum. That's just not how it works. When, for instance, Ben Williamson gets called up for a few weeks during the season he will get paid a prorated salary for time spent on the 26 man roster.

Rough numbers are 1 week on the 26-man roster equals something like $31,500. 1 day at the MLB level is about $4500.
