The interview was wide-ranging but perhaps the two highlights were Logan Gilbert's remarks about Cal Raleigh's firm handling of pitchers (8:30) and Gilbert's bench conversations (15:30) with Randy Arozarena, who won't speak with the media because of a language issue.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Jan 28, 2026 6:49 pmCan you summarize for those of us that don't want to watch a 26 minute interview? So Randy is like "Chief" in One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest. lol Chief was also Freddy Garcia's nickname based on looking like that actor.harmony wrote: ↑Wed Jan 28, 2026 7:25 pmThe interview was wide-ranging but perhaps the two highlights were Logan Gilbert's remarks about Cal Raleigh's firm handling of pitchers (8:30) and Gilbert's bench conversations (15:30) with Randy Arozarena, who won't speak with the media because of a language issue.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Jan 28, 2026 6:49 pmCan you summarize for those of us that don't want to watch a 26 minute interview? So I have been given Sodomojo props recently specifically Tremayne Person and then he decides to suggest that we can extend Woo for 5 years $48M when if he continues on his current trajectory he could get close to that for ONE season in FA. I wouldn't be surprised if that is their offer though knowing them.

Can't believe they fought it out with Bryce Miller. Like you pointed out, he looked pretty impressive at times once he came back.

Have to give them credit there. They're spending even more than they did on Refsnyder!D-train wrote: ↑Fri Jan 30, 2026 1:42 amThey are giving the two kids in the DR over $8M next January.bpj wrote: ↑Thu Jan 29, 2026 5:23 pmWouldn't surprise me at all either.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Jan 29, 2026 5:06 pmSo I have been given Sodomojo props recently specifically Tremayne Person and then he decides to suggest that we can extend Woo for 5 years $48M when if he continues on his current trajectory he could get close to that for ONE season in FA. Big expenditures compared to their usual nothing.
