Spring Training Thread
Re: Spring Training Thread
I'd still be looking for trade returns for Castillo and Arozarena, so on top of the prospect returns and $35M saved, this would be the lineup.
Re: Spring Training Thread
I think if he stays healthy, he'll likely be the first outfielder up from Tacoma. We could also see a trade, either Davis himself getting moved or one of the current major league group. Atlanta has a situation now with the loss of Profar for the year.bpj wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 8:16 pmWhat is it you guys don't like about Brennan Davis' chances?
He had an .820 OPS in 2024, not great, ok.
But he had a .976 OPS in 2025 across three different teams.
Maybe it's lack of playing time from injuries.
He's basically right handed Jarred Kelenic (he's 3 months younger) except he's never made MLB, so 6 years of control remaining. I hope he gets some playing time instead of scrap heaping him.
Taken 28 picks ahead of Cal Raleigh in the 2018 draft (62 and 90). Ahead of Steven Kwan, Brendan Donovan, Jarren Duran, amd Tarik Skubal. Pretty good draft.

I woke her up, put her phone in her purse, stood her up, stabilized her and involuntarily gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek. I could not believe what I had just done but She looked me in the eyes and said thank you and walked away. Probably the most bizarre encounter of my life.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 5:14 pmHopefully you cared for her. You brought up his slash. I hadn't been thinking about him but I'll be curious what the Sox decide to do. Thanks for bringing it up

Wow “it’s only Spring Training” but they have been bad pitching wise this spring. Where are they getting all these rubber arms from and why do we keep seeing them.

i was at the game today and wondered the same thing: who the hell are all these pitchers?
Kirby looked pretty good. Leo and Brennan did good. Rodden continues to hit, Laz continues to whiff and Troy Taylor continues to struggle.

Because Robles is making a few million and Davis has an option left. He could hit 30 bombs this month and they would still send him to AAA.bpj wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 8:16 pmWhat is it you guys don't like about Brennan Davis' chances?

Yeah they are really starting to go to the well WAY to many time with the trash heap Reliever acquisitions aren't they. Take a look at our top 8 relievers. If Ferrer isn't good we are likely screwed...TravelersFan wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2026 12:37 ami was at the game today and wondered the same thing: who the hell are all these pitchers?

I’m at the game at the DBacks and Donovan just flew into the stands as he made a leaping catch. Dude is fearless.
