The poor plate discipline, defensive lapses and gaffes on the basepaths. Then sprinkle in a little psychological instability in your pitching and you've got a recipe for failure.

Cal was an MVP last year, isn't this year.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2026 4:14 pmI really see the issue of the offense as an excuse. Guys are scuffling at the plate bla bla bla. There's no excuse for some of the dumb shit they are doing in the field. That's not about taking extra batting practice or having good at bats or seeing the ball. It's just not fucking shit up
Julio has proven he can hit an MVP canidate after July, why is it that he is an absolute turd until then?
Naylor is basically doing what a lot of us expected only worse. Everyone knows there is a reason he is constantly being dealt.
Those aren't the only ones. When you are paid to hit, I get tired of hearing shit like they'll heat up with the weather, or it's early. Fuck that, hit the fucking ball. Stop swinging at shit out of the zone, stop closing your eyes and swinging for the moon, stop fucking swinging and missing, and see what happens!?
