Strange guy. Only 8 WAR his entire career.

Has been traded 4x.

For not much.

Why?

Has the $90 mil gotten to him?

Seems many of these guys in their final year of the contract, burst out, then they choke with a big one.

All Cleveland got for him is some 5 ERA starter.

Yeah not looking great for Naylor. Never a very impressive player, especially for a 1B, but they obviously hoped his hitting would continue like it did after the deadline.

Can't really fault them for that, but betting 5 years and 90+M on it was crazy.

Was thinking maybe he's another slow starter, but this was his 2025...:

I just noticed CJ Abrams who I wanted his hitting .371 with almost a 1.200 OPS and the third highest WAR in baseball.

Arraez is hitting as expected with a .313 BA and .739 OPS but his D has been Good giving him 0.6 WAR which projects to almost 5 WAR on the season.

On Baseball Reference (which I think is a more accurate depiction) his WAR is -0.9, ouch. His bat and his glove have been equally terrible.
