Re: OT: Supersonics
Doesn't anyone call them the Knickerbockers any more? I mean how lazy have we become as a society when we have to shorten every name to one or two syllables...
Supersonics -> Sonics
Trailblazers-> Blazers
Dandelions -> Lions
Tax-dodgers -> Dodgers
Buckwheats -> Bucks
Cockspurs -> Spurs
Billabongs -> Bills
Ramshackles -> Rams

Yeah, and it's personal for him. He once was a confirmed New Yorker. It really suited him. Got married and moved to San Antonio because the wife didn't like it there.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2026 5:50 pmHave you reached out to your brother for a wellness check? I don't think I could have handled that meltdown if it was my team.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2026 4:54 pmYeah, it sounds like a pretty entertaining series actually. And it sounds like the Knicks are throwing plenty of defense at the Spurs. They've handled Wemby successfully so far. And Wemby is a heck of a basketball player.
This was him going into game three lol
The games gonna start. I'm kind of dreading this. I'm staring at that ass hole Richard Jefferson but I'll keep the sound off. This whole thing is over the top media wise. Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith ranking on Wemby. Like 3rd grade stuff. I can't believe I used to live there. I remember the feeling. I really would love to bring those fuckers down. However the only way we win is if we tune them out and go full Shaolin Monks. Fugue State.

Re: OT: Supersonics
The Spurs had double digit leads in every first quarter of the series but still lost 4-1. Thought that seemed pretty wild. Seemed like an interesting series. A little like the Sonics-Bulls series, 1996? Actually closer than the results might indicate

And we probably would have kicked their asses if George Karl had put GP on MJ in game one. The second-biggest coaching/managing blunder in Seattle history after you-know-what.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2026 2:38 pmI went to game four when we kicked their asses.....Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2026 2:27 pmThe Spurs had double digit leads in every first quarter of the series but still lost 4-1.
