6/17/26 Mariners vs Oriholes Beat Up On Bradish The Radish Again Game Thread

For the second straight night we're rolling out a white-flag lineup against the Oriholes and this time relying on Kirby to pull his head out of his ass.

Kirby in his last five starts has given up three, four, five (twice) and six runs. When you look at his performance this season and last season you wonder if he peaked as an MLB pitcher early in his career. He's not battling injuries so it's probably just his head which we all know isn't his best attribute. We talk about trading Castillo, but maybe Kirby should go as well considering that he can still get us some good hitting in return.

Bradish The Radish has had two straight starts where he's gone four innnings and given up five runs. It'll take a miracle but let's see if we can keep that fine tradition going.

I wonder if we'll bat Refsnyder fifth again today and if Wilson will have him bunting in the second inning again. Who else DOES that? The last time an MLB team did that, the pitcher's first name was probably something like Lefty, Dutch or Three-Finger and the batter's first name was probably something like Hoss, Pud, or Stuffy.

Whatever, let's go out there again, knock those bums down, and fart on their heads.

Julio needs to be smart JULIO. lifetime: Julio Rodríguez is 4-for-10 (.400 AVG) with 1 double, 3 RBIs, 2 walks, and 2 strikeouts against Kyle Bradish in their career matchups (10 plate appearances). No home runs or triples. This could be a good spot for Julio tonight at home—Bradish has control issues, and T-Mobile Park favors hitters like J-Rod when he squares it up. I am looking to see if Julio chases Bradish sinker early in the count. ```if he doesn't chase, this could be his night

Also looking for Emerson and Canzone as picks to click and hoping Robles doesn't get hurt trying to save Kirby.

They bring up Conor Joe again instead of someone else like Davis. Ugh.

I am not unhappy with this lineup. Defense is up a notch up the middle and on the right side.

1-7 is a really good lineup. Thats a winning line right there. Hopefully Naylor and Raley make an appearance so we know they are ok. Having Mast be our 1b is a true joke!!

Good start for Kirby. His velo is up half a tick. He did leave a couple in the middle of the plate.
