The Manny Acta Era begins Game thread
Re: The Manny Acta Era begins Game thread
If we are gonna tank call up Anderson, Sloan, Arroyo, Montes along with Smith. Let the kids enjoy and get experience for next year

AT, your sarcasm is hilarious!AT Fresno wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2026 2:13 amThe Angels manager fired all three of his pitching coaches today. I wish someone would fire the manager, the General manager, the head of baseball operations, the broadcast crew, all the hitting coaches, and the bullpen coach. Why should we be humiliated daily supporting this turd of a team?

I've finally decided to meet you all down in Peoria next February!
To watch Kade before he goes in for TJ surgery.
Remember the Little Unit?
Hultzen, Salkeld, Brian Holman' et al?

Do you really think the are going to send two current starters to the pen, Bench Randy, Ward and Cal and then risk the kids not being able to play baseball next season if there is a lockout that lasts into the season? Anyone on the 40 man can't play so even if they sent them back down before the season ends they would have to DFA them to get them back of the 40 man and of course they would get scooped up.
That would be a bit surprising...

Tanking for what? Is Stanton trying to drive down the value of the organization so that he won't be tempted to sell off his share?

A few of things.
1. We never go in February.
2. There won't be a Spring Training this year do to the lockout
3. If you do go down there you will need something to do so I would recommend the Botanical Gardens in Scottsdale followed buy a fine lunch at In and Out Burger.

Stanton is still giddy over saving (profiting) over 23 million in the Castillo trade.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2026 4:12 amTanking for what? Is Stanton trying to drive down the value of the organization so that he won't be tempted to sell off his share?
His plan is working for all of the owners. Winning isn’t priority. Money is.

Whats interesting is they havent extended him. Does he get an extension over the off season? Seems unlikely the way things are going. And theres the U of Minnesota, sounds like a perfect fit to me.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2026 2:22 amWhy Mariners are unlikely to fire Dan Wilson despite disappointing seasonSeattle or Bust wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2026 2:12 am3 hits, 1 run...
That's 5 runs the last 5 games.
And Dan is still the manager why?
