I love AI.

I know a lot of people think it is going to turn in to Hal but I have zero fears of that.

What exactly is the fear? Only way I can think it can harm people is access their funds and confiscate them. wtf am I missing.
If it accesses and confiscates your funds, your money. :D

My gut instinct is that Seiya would get crushed by our ballpark.

I know this stuff is fun, dreaming of poaching players, but come on. The Marlins aren't trading Otto Lopez. He's popular there, leads the majors in hits, All Star, Juan Soto calling him one of the best hitters in the game, El Ottomatic, they have three more seasons of control. How on earth are they selling it to their fans? Turn the trade around, if the Mariners had a breakout guy like Otto and traded him away over the off season you guys would go nuts. It has nothing to do with trying to find comparable value on a trade app
That's something we need to think of when coming up with trade ideas, would the other team do it? I wonder if fans of other teams post that they should trade for our players like "We should trade our #7 prospect and (lefty reliever with a 4.87 ERA) for Brian Woo".

That is why I use objective tools like the trade values site. Not perfect but at least it isn't biased. But in this case Lopez is significantly undervalued.

I don't think he'd get crushed, he certainly wouldn't be putting up an .840 OPS like he's been putting up the past four seasons. I think he'd be over .750 at the very least and he's improved his defense to where it's good.

He's 8-24 at T-Mobile with one home run so we don't seem to have to worry about him turning into Mitch Garver. Still can't believe we signed a guy who was 0-32 in his career at T-Mobile. Only the Mariners...

But even so, going into his age 32 season the profile doesn't work for the Mariners as a free agent acquisition. And on the demand side, I think there will be enough other teams interested that he'll likely have some choices about where to play.

Its a good idea that will never happen like 97% of the moves in our plans.

Need to find guys like Ferrer and Refsnyder if we want to be right....

That's true, which is why if we are going to go after a Japanese player it' should be Sato. That's a bidding war they can and should win.

Over 99%. Leadoff from The Times Forum is still the only one ever to call a specific trade even before it was talked about (Carlos Silva for Milton Bradley).

Leadoff went to ST with us about 10-12 years ago. Jim Freeman referred to him and Terry walking from the parking lot to the ballpark as two Giant Tortises. lol I also met him at the Scottish festival in Enumclaw one year.

Shortly thereafter he backed his car into Terry's and refused to pay for the damage. Prob a few hundred dollars. He then vanished from the Forum forever. I reached out to him after that to see what was up and he said he wasn't a baseball fan any more.
