Jerry is jerking off all over himself about the implications of the massive payroll Dodgers losing to the Brewers.

What he doesn't understand is the Brewers didn't blow money on -
  • Mitch Garver
    Rob Refsnyder
    Connor Joe
    Cooper Criswell
    Casey Legumina
    Miles Mastobuoni
Add in that Ryan Bliss and Luis Rivas are not Major League caliber hitters?

If you aren't going to spend much money, the impact of lighting it on fire is much greater!

Can't believe that after the highest attendance in 22 years and the biggest buzz kill shit show season ever they aren't even bothering to increase payroll at all. Of all the years...

They don't need to. They can reduce payroll, still have everyone show up and pay the ridiculous prices at their ballpark, and make even more money. Worse ownership group this city has had, and that is saying a LOT.

Jerry ought to be jerking off all over himself about the implications of a well run organization (e.g., good personnel decisions, solid player development) beating the Dodgers.

I'd like to know what goes on in Jerry's mind. "Hmmm, they are good. They had a smaller payroll than we did this year. But we don't know how to do any of those things well. Let's just say we need a "culture reset."

The Brewers are good at defense, baserunning, and contact hitting. The Mariners don't really do any of those things well.

And Stanton was thrilled that we don't need a higher payroll just the zero cost culture reset and accountability program....
