He said during a recent interview that everyday he's healthy is considered a win, even if he goes 0-4 that day. That he can use that as a building block to learn and better in the future, and that he only worries about what he can control right now.

I believe the power will come. I want to see how he does to finish the rest if this season. The main thing is that he just stays healthy for the entire year.

He turns 24 in a few weeks. 24 yo in AA isn't young. At some point you need more than healthy.

Haniger who is considered a late bloomer, hit .310/.883 as a 24 yo in AA.

I'm ok with that all things considered. He's battled back from a major knee injury. We knew this would stunt his growth development and his age would pay the price for it. This should come as no surprise for us. I still view him as a valuable commodity to this organization.

If he keeps hitting like he has lately he will be fine just can't have anymore of those bad slumps he is prone to.

btw for all those that complained about the Segura for Crawford trade.

Segura 66 games .268/.317/.430/.747 OPS 1.5 WAR

Crawford 27 games .300/.377/.450/.827 ~1.0 WAR (his WAR won't be updated until tomorrow but that is my guess after a 4-4 game with a HR)

Nailed it. JP is now at 1.0 WAR in 27 games. 27 games is 1/6 of a 162 game season. I will let you guys do the math on the full season WAR projection.

The M's should have traded Cruz a year or two before his contract ran out.

That is part of the mistake I pointed out on the Stanton thread. They were intent on "going for it" with it being the 2nd WC with garbage FA pieces and fringe trades.

To be fair if Felix and Seager don't turn to complete turd last season we might have had a shot at a WC, but I question what the point of going for a WC is when it's obvious New York would have torn us a new one. No point going for the playoffs just to make up the numbers
