To make losing (somewhat) interesting, I thought it’d be fun to prognosticate the four worst AL teams in win percentage at seasons end, especially since the Mariners are not necessarily guaranteed to be among them.

I just don't think the M's can over-undertake any of those teams They are 6 games back from The Jays, 7 behind Royals, 6.5 Tigers, 12.5 behind O's
The M's do have a 3.5 game lead on the White Sox.
The N.L. has 2 teams Giants, and Marlins that are closer to #1 pick with another 2 teams with-in a game or 2 of overtaking them. I think the M's probably are 6 to 9th unless something unexpected happens.
