David Arias might have been 230lbs but not David Ortiz.

Maybe not but Ortiz is 6-3 so he has the frame to carry it.

I can't think of a single hitter 6-0 range who weighed north of 250 that remained productive into his thirties.
Prince 5-11 275 had his last decent season at 28
Sandoval 5-11 268 had his last decent season at age 27.
Mo Vaugn is listed on Baseball Reference as 6-1 225 (which I don't believe) had his last good year at age 30
Dimitri Young was a little taller at 6-2 but was also 295 and had his last decent season at age 29

The only guys who I can think of with a fireplug type body who had long careers are Kirby Puckett and Tony Gwynn but they are listed at 178 and 185 pounds respectively.

So Vogelbach is the outlier. Maybe he won't compare to anyone at all body-wise.

I'd concern myself with his bat until his body becomes a problem that takes away from the bat which is unlikely over the course of the Mariners control.

His body is currently not even remotely an issue. He's mashing with it and has gotten in better shape since 12 months ago.

At worst we have Vogey- a star level bat- in his prime. Exactly what we've been after in core players.
