Currently listening to the post game show of lost to the A's. Root sports announcers are exuberant with praise for this losing team.
Shannon and Jenn are embarrassments in asking any tough questions as to "why do you suck"? They must be in the locker room to check out the players asses.
It's been mentioned in numerous threads about Segura, Cano etal. Doing what they could to move on. With the exception of the Pinniela years this has been a common theme. Spezio Beltre and others are examples. There is no pressure to win by the press and many fans. Try hard and have fun is the mantra.
Until someone steps up and calls this team out instead of praising mediocre performances this team will never win a championship.

Nothing else on. Usually do not even watch the games on Root because I can't stand Can Can dancer Davie Simmie and Mikey Blowie.

Dave Valle seems to be a local hero because he barely hit.200 but was supposedly a good defensive catcher. So what didn't win anything.

It happens. The Mets suffered with Lindsey Nelson, Bob Murphy, and Ralph Kiner for many years. It was debatable who “out-worsted” who.

It is beyond reason for any rational person to expect that an employee should call-out his employer.

It's a Mariner station - people can't call out shitty play. They'd be fired the next day. But I get it -- they're out of it at the break. Frustrating.

I am excited for the 2nd half. I want to see Crawford play - see if he's a legit piece to this rebuild. I think he's my favorite M now.

There is no such amount of criticism that will make the players play any better than they already are. It anything you can inspire players much more with votes of confidence and "pep talking" than letting them know just how terrible they are. another thing...there is so much parity in baseball compared to other pro sports that even the worst teams win over 40% of the time..so ask yourself just HOW SHITTY are these players who can win 4 out of 10 from the best players that the world has to offer....?
