I only blame him for the game tying home run he gave up in the top of the ninth.

Well he had to be exhausted after yesterday and 6 run lead ofter 7 he put his faith that bullpen would hold it rest of the way. Your right though closers have to deal with this. Sucks Miller is not available anymore. I would trade for him badly.
