I would say the Frenchmen is smarter than the Steaming pile. lolharmony wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 1:12 amFWIW Steamer and FanGraphs project Sam Haggerty with a 2023 wRC+ of 93 and Jarred Kelenic with a 2023 wRC+ of 104:bpj wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 12:04 amCan't imagine how it must feel to Haggerty that he's the one people are talking about replacing on the roster instead of Kelenic.harmony wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 11:50 pmBrent Stecker at Seattle Sports offer his "under the radar" targets for the Mariners:

Re: Finally! Official Hot Stove League Thread
Murphy with the same years of control remaining (3) as Bryan Reynolds.
Still not sure which team I'd bet on making the playoffs first but easy to see why the A's didn't need Murphy the next few years
Re: Finally! Official Hot Stove League Thread
So in the Sean Murphy trade, according to Baseball Trade Values, the A's traded Murphy who BTV valued at 51.3 MTV and got prospects back that BTV valued at 14.1 MTV.
All the hand wringing about having to match Bryan Reynolds trades is obviously blown out of the water.
