He posted a -.6 WAR in only 14 games which means he was on pace for about a -7 WAR if he played a whole season.
It seems kind of early to give up on a guy after just 39 big league AB's. But then again he put up a a .193 avg with a .661 OPS in 740 PA in AAA so it's not like there was any reason for optimism that he would stick.

Is that more relevant or is JKs 558 PAs vs Downs 41? Not to mention Downs was the marque piece of the Betts trade even bigger than the Cano trade.
