They showed the replay about 50 times and it looked like it hit the inside ankle, not the shin. But... We'll all know soon enough.

I'll look for a replay.
It’s essentially the same bone, and a part of the bone that has nothing over the top except skin. It looked to me above the males, but I’d have to watch again. Either way, he’s probably going to be sore there for a month, but hopefully it didn’t bother him weight bearing for too long. Not a lot of muscles and tendons there, so that’s probably good news.

Looks to me like they might be stealing our pitches given the amount of hard contact. I agree that Tavares provides zip. Taylor or Canzone please

Julio has been steadily improving all season, not striking out so much, getting hits with 2 strikes and hitting the ball pretty hard, despite all the grounders. It's further proof of a curse if he's on the IL.

Would love to see Taylor get a shot. Poor kid has done so well in the minors deserves a shot. Julio to iL sadly. Send down Tavares call up Taylor and Cantzone. Best options

I’m watching from my phone, and it looks to me like it hit a few inches above where the ankle bone sticks out, so more along the shaft of the tibia and bounces straight down.

I couldn't find the close up replay they showed over and over on Root, but you're probably right and hopefully it's not something that effed up his ankle.
Though, knowing the way MLB injuries go, he'll be out 2 weeks, regardless.
