Who's off the board tally
Re: Who's off the board tally
I did some clicking around on the google machine, mlbtr, and twitter, and it seems like the Mariners are the only team linked to Trevor Story. Is that right? There's a press conference for Robbie Ray tomorrow morning at 10:30 am. I wonder if another player will be there as well. They have to move fast though because of the deadline and getting physicals done.
I don't really expect this is happening, but I wouldn't be surprised. The Mariners aren't leaking at all, so if something is happening behind the scenes, it's entirely believable that we won't hear about it until the deal is done.
All of the above applies just as easily to Kris Bryant.
And to be clear, I'm not making an argument for or against either player. I'm just wondering if something is happening. It seems possible. Probably not, but maybe. And with the deadline tomorrow, revealing another big signing would be great drama and probably help sell some season ticket packages.

Re: Who's off the board tally
I've heard that the Mariners are interested in Story playing third base. The only other team that's been in on him is his former, the Rockies. Who also happen to be interested in Kris Bryant as well, which doesn't mean jack shit. I'm interested in a shit ton of super models too. It doesn't mean I've got a shot.GL_Storm wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 8:06 amI did some clicking around on the google machine, mlbtr, and twitter, and it seems like the Mariners are the only team linked to Trevor Story. Re: Who's off the board tally
The fact that we weren't linked to Robbie Ray, but we are linked to Trevor Story probably means it's journalist speculation or Storys' agent disinfo to garner more interest from other teams, imo.
Re: Who's off the board tally
Wasn't there someone who waited in line for Kracken's tickets that spoke with Dipoto and people supposedly overhead him aggressively going for Semien and Story?

I think Drayer mentioned Trevor Story too. Hopefully they don't get him and get a power LH hitter.
Re: Who's off the board tally
It sure if posted by M’s signed a new deal with With Munoz last night to buy out some option years for 4 years it appears
From LL. The Mariners did make one move last night, agreeing to a four-year contract extension with fireballer Andrés Muñoz worth $7.5 million that includes three option years at the end of the deal https://www.mlb.com/mariners/news/andre ... r-contract

At least he has pitched in the big leagues but odd it him vs. a guy like Gilbert. Maybe Gilbert is holding out for the big buck in 6 years.desbcoach wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 4:39 pmIt sure if posted by M’s signed a new deal with With Munoz last night to buy out some option years for 4 years it appears

Re: Who's off the board tally
I am pretty they stated before Gilbert rebuffed them on the long term offer, my guess as with JK they think more will be available to them in long run, someone like Wander could have left money on table but how do you turn down 200 mil to change yours and families life foreverD-train wrote: ↑Wed Dec 01, 2021 5:09 pmAt least he has pitched in the big leagues but odd it him vs. a guy like Gilbert.
