So their payroll today is the same as it was yesterday, and it looks like Dipoto "filled" all of the holes.

Seems like keeping payroll low was their main (maybe only) objective.
At least Marco, White, and Kelenic are off the team. I still preferred Geno at 3B and offering Teo a QO. If he signed it, then cool.

Need another big bat and some more relief options to throw out there like when we found Topa and Speier.

Haniger and Raley.

Is Marlowe and Canzone going to be depth? Maybe Garver is doing more than just emergency catching.
Plus I like that Raley can play some first base as well. Bats left handed and had a +126 OPS last season.
Love Raley. Put up 3.7 WAR per 600. Randy put up 3.8 WAR per 600 but hits RH vs. LH and will make $8M more than Raley. LOVE it!!!!

Randy would have cost Woo or Miller. Raley costs Cabby.

Hot damn I am in disbelief. :D
I approve of the deal. We had 8 second basemen, plus Ryan Bliss will take a crack at the lineup.

Man I wish I shared that optimism!

What do you like about the dude, I don't remember seeing him play?

Good news is he hit better Away than at Home. What worries me is that he was a below average bat the second half. On paper it looks like Dipoto bought a geezer based on a good first half who it seems like it took pitchers a little time to figure out, like Kelenic, but when they did, it was over.

He had a .677 OPS in the 2nd Half, Kelenic had a .707. A little scary..

Hopefully there's something there, but seems like a risky guy in a playoff push season imo.

I think they are out of spots for big bats unless they replace Urias at third but seems he is their game for better or worse.

That is a little scary but Cabby had a .592 2nd half OPS. If we would have given up Miller or Woo for him then yeah. I think he will put up at least a .750 OPS this season with good D. His projection is .767 and he played 11 games in CF in 2023 so has good range if the Rays trusted him out there.

Now sign Blake Snell. Still basically zero money spent this off season. Actually less spent.

Baseball Trade Values likes both trades for the Mariners ... by wide margins:

I’m a big fan of the trades TBH… if Haniger can stay healthy you just offloaded an injured, expensive pitcher you don’t need for a good bat, pitching depth… and a one-year wonder utility player for decent OF depth.

I don’t think they’re done. I’m still expecting one of Woo or Miller traded for a really good bat or 2.

I don't see it, I wish they would and start ALL the kids in AAA but I think they are set offensively.

I would like to see them acquire a legit 3b and platoon Urias and Rojas at 2nd. Chapman is available.
