Great job on this MM. So much time put into it.
I really appreciate your efforts in doing this.

Now, I do think we need to have some discussion on changing a few rules.
1. Some scoring adjustments..... -5 strokes for every player you get into the weekend. Then it would actually make people think about who they are choosing rather than take Scheffler and a couple -20 people so they can readjust for the weekend.

or

2. If your player doesn't make the weekend, there should be more of a penalty than just strokes gained.

I would propose either of these changes because the intent is to split your $100 into a team that will compete and possibly win, not a means of "playing the system.
I'm not against your rule change but I still liked the strategic way I left a lot of money in the bank in case I had to possibly pick up two players.
As it was, I only had to buy one, and I still I have $20 left over with nothing to spend on.
However, even those with only $zero or $5 left in their bunker had plenty to choose from in the Free, -$10, or -20 list.
My preference would be to keep this year's rule in place, though.
I wrote earlier that I would like a rule that each golfer can only be chosen once.
No protagonist can pick a golfer already chosen by another protagonist.
With just 10 contestants, there were plenty of quality golfers to choose from.
If, in my proposal to limit it to 18 entries, it'd get very interesting and competitive.
Anyway, good idea Walla Walla.

Oh, YAY!!! Just noticed that Brian Campbell, on my original team, is done already. 4-over 76 yesterday but finished solidly with a Sunday, 4-under 68.
Temporarily stroked me from 9th into a 6th place tie with Darren.
Yesterday I was pissed at you, Mr. Campbell. Today, you are my hero!

Now, if Åberg and Conners can both shoot 65's today, it gets interesting.....both should be teeing off right about now.

So in your example, I could have chosen:
Tom Kim at $10
and two golfers at -$20

And had had $110 to play with on Saturday.

Sorry, but this seems like you are playing for the weekend and not assembling a team that you think can win.

I believe the intent is to assemble a team to win, not one that can be jockeyed around for the weekend.

Well for the PGA Championship there will have to be a forced change to the format because I am in the US and might not have a laptop to do formula setting up.

I think I am going to have to implement the format Pick 5 players and your best 3 count system for the whole tournament. No changes at the cut.

If you don't get 3 players through to the weekend, you miss the cut yourself. I wont be able to get the scoreboard working without access to a laptop, the sheet is awful on mobile and iPad to do tweaks. We will have to try something different.

This should create the need for a team to be built.

The amazing prospect could lie that you have Scheffler on -7, Player 2 on -3 and 3 who miss the cut. You will be out because you havent got 3 players through. It penalises "eggs in one basket" strategy.

It's a format that comes through needs-must.

Bil's lead is currently cut to 7 (edit down to 6 and even further down to 5 by the start of the Ms game)

Come on Rory.....
Go Ms.....

Fair points and I get it.
I think there would be an *asterisk on our play money as to its limits.
We all tried to assemble winning teams. And played within the existing rules.
As I stated, I don't disagree with your rule suggestions and if enacted would play by those rules.

Speaking of rules (and honor), did you see that Min Woo Lee was penalized a stroke in the 3rd round when he asked if his ball had moved?

Associated Press
Apr 12, 2025, 06:03 PM ET

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Min Woo Lee was penalized one stroke after his third round in the Masters on Saturday after tournament officials determined he caused his ball to move on the 13th fairway.

The penalty turned his par on the hole into a bogey and his score into a 5-over 77.

Augusta National said in a statement that Lee asked for an official after he noticed his ball had moved, and it was later determined that "his actions near the ball did cause it to move."

Gotta respect that Australian for his action.

UK plane wankers are obsessed with not allowing laptops at the moment. Has to be in hand luggage which is a pain in the arse.

Juliooooo and maoling putting in a fair old battle. -7 and -8 respectively today. Bil's lead down to 4.

Edit: Juliooooo cuts it 3
Edit2: and Aberg birdie now means it's only 2
Edit3: Rose misses an eagle by a fraction of an inch that would've tied our contest. Unbelievable. The lead is 1

How quickly it can change. So close to a tie and about 1 hole later for each player, Bil regains his grip
