Really hope a game like this is not our downfall, ugly ugly game.
The sky isn’t falling we just ran into a better team. Atlanta will be about the same.
Do we have to face strider?

White Sox are a decent team having a bit of a down year. The Mariners just kind of ran into them today without their best game, and that's what happens. Six unearned runs will do that to you.

Fried vs Kirby on Saturday should be a good game. Mlb app doesn't show Sunday. Probably should win the first 2 if we expect to win the series though

Judge has 55 bombs. For him to do that without PEDs and in this era of elite pitching is FAR more impressing that what anyone did 15-25 years ago.
Once again you heard it here first....

The woke "pre-integrated" argument holds no water whatsoever. Babe Ruth would have ended up with pretty much the same accomplishments. The morons who think that assume that the Negro Leagues were full of Satchel Paiges. Yet Paige is the only Negro League pitcher that anyone can even name, all the other famous players were position players.

Servais said "defense hasn't lost us any games" then defense losses them a game. On to the next.
Yes it was very sloppy. We gave away 2 of the 3 games. I can understand the first game with everyone being tired, but today was no excuse. Poor effort all around other than Geno.
And he had the biggest defensive mistake of the game, didn't he? I wasn't watching, just saw he had an error and 3 unearned runs scored.
I was having problems with my feed which was going in and out so apparently I missed that.

First batter of the 4 run 6th, fielding error by Suarez. 2nd batter was a bunt single to him, don't know if he had a chance to make a play or not.

Thanks, I missed most of that inning but I just looked at the recap. You're correct.

For a team that prides itself on great defense, it was a disappointing effort by a number of players on defense yesterday. But errors happen, and sometimes the pitcher just has to suck it up. And as arguably the ace of the staff, Castillo needed to step up and keep the damage to a minimum which didn't happen.

The way he started out, striking out the first 7 batters he faced, gave the impression that he was going to be nearly unhittable. And after being given a 4-run lead early, I thought the game was all but over.

As for Suarez, yes he had a lot to do with that inning. But defensively, he's been much better than advertised and expected this year, and he did more than his part offensively.

It was a true team loss yesterday. Pitching and defense in particular let them down. Just a disappointing outcome and series in general.
