Funny that the Seattle Times let DT promote the new site for a week or so and then decided to shut the link down. I think they had no idea the new site would be so successful.

I really doubt the Times cares at all about this site. It's not like the Forum was generating any income for them.

Well, for one thing they now have 82 fewer pairs of eyeballs potentially looking at the banner ads at the top and bottom of the forum page. Fewer views, less revenue. Not a big deal, but probably the only reason the ST hasn’t shut down the nuisancey (for them) forums.

I have not seen Jay Canadian post for years. UK has been very infrequent lately and Aussie Mike is now punting for the Hawks so he doesn't have time to post. Dr. Naysay is from S. Africa and is here.

If a number of us logged on to the ST site and pm'd our missing forum brethren, is the Times able to block or delete that?
Would they know we put http://marinertalk.com in a pm? I doubt it.
If, by some chance some of our missing friends logged on, happened to look up and see they had a pm, maybe they'd try.

LMAO I just had a vision of Joan putting in a request to Seattle Times IT Department to try to determine if there's a mariner talk Link in any and all PM's that have been sent recently.

Most of those guys left long before the spam started to hit. But hey knock yourself out. BTW leadoff basically left the forum to avoid paying a few hundred dollars to repair Auburn Terry's car after he smashed into it.
