Guillen was the SS. Bell was 3B.
Guillen would have been UT then.
Actually, i forgot ARod started at SS and then moved to 3B later in his career. I was thinking he was a 2B with the Mariners and then moved to SS later.

His 1996 season, given his age was one of the best seasons of all time.

Yes if they didn't idiotically start his clock at age 18 for no reason he is on the 2001 team and we likely win the WS. Cursed franchise.
If I wasn't fucking 8 yo at the time w/ no understanding of service time I would have been livid. Was that Gillick then? I thought he was smart? How stupid were they?
'95 I can see, but bringing him up at 18 when you know almost assuredly you're going to use him in '95 at 19 is asinine. They lost his age 25 season for a handful of ABs at 18.

That WS in '01 would've been ours and then how do you not re-sign him? There would have been riots in the streets. So A-Rod runs off to Texas. All because of one stupid decision to play him in '94

Excluding Jr., A-Rod is the best player we've ever had and we got 5 full seasons out of him. Imagine if it were more like 12

Arod was never going to re-sign with Seattle.

When he hits 8 homeruns in 8 consecutive days, we'll talk.
5 homers in his last 5 games

7 down 32 to go!

I can't believe the M's are putting out that "first 5 seasons" stat and calling A-Rod's 18yo season in which he played 17 games a season.
