Re: Don't look now on the OPS
Is that because Fangraphs has a better search utility for comparing career stats or is it because of the way they organize the data?

Its the searchability. BR sucks for leader boards.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 9:40 pmIs that because Fangraphs has a better search utility for comparing career stats or is it because of the way they organize the data?

Fangraphs allowed me to determine that JK had the worst start for a OFer since 1900 in only about a minute. That is an amazing capability.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 9:40 pmIs that because Fangraphs has a better search utility for comparing career stats or is it because of the way they organize the data?

BR #1 by a mile but #2 is FG and then Savant and brooks about even. And a 5th is mlb trade calc.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 7:10 pmI use BR if I am just looking at and individual player. I use it the most. I use FG if I want to see rankings of players or teams. I use it prob 40% of the time. Never use Baseball Savant but see their stuff posted on X all the time.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 6:17 pmThat brings up the question; which website has the best metrics (datasets + proprietary stats), tables, charts, and graphs:
Baseball Reference
Fan Graphs
Baseball Savant
