Re: OT: US Open Golf (12-15 Jun) – Draft Part 2
If I can pick my last two....
JJ Spawn and JT Poston
Then my team would be:
LJJJJ
L= Ludvig
J= Justin
J= Jordan
J= Jason
J= JJ
J= JT
Kind of funny it would be all "J's" with the exception of my #1.
-Shame I didn't take Justin Thomas-

Just a reminder that
rockycola - you are the one on the clock. I am sure you know, we are well ahead of schedule so not putting pressure on. I always look forward to your selections, we get full briefing documents and analysis - so will be worth the wait when you make them.
desbcoach - you could always pick two from each group now and that covers any cross-over with rocky.

Half the blokes on your list have fucked me over on past goofy golf contests. Fuck 'em allmostonmike wrote: ↑Sat Jun 07, 2025 9:58 pmJust a reminder that

That being said, with great reverence, I select:
Patrick Cantlay an egg
Cameroon Davis
Kimmy Poo Woo Woo
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

Re: OT: US Open Golf (12-15 Jun) – Draft Part 2
Just a point-of-order and admin - the third stage of the draft involves this.
Brooks Koepka - issued with a nominal ranking of 14, but he's been selected now so its irrelevant.
Joaquin Niemann is currently ranked 77 in OGWR, but he's LIV Ranked 1. His nominal ranking is going to be 29 (which is Min Woo's Lee ranking)
Dustin Johnson is virtually unranked in OGWR, so I've given him a ranking of 34 for our draft.
Richard Bland, Cameron Smith, Phil Mickelson and Marc Leishman, who sneaked in through qualifying, have not been given nominal rankings - they just won't get allocated to anyone as a result.
So for complete transparency, these are the highest ranked players still left with 3 to pick.
16 Harris English *** would be allocated to maoling if it was done now ***
18 Keegan Bradley *** would be allocated to maoling if it was done now ***
19 Robert MacIntyre
20 Corey Conners
21 Sungjae Im
22 Wyndham Clark
23 Tyrrell Hatton
24 Ben Griffin
25 J.J. Spaun
27 Brian Harman
*29 Joaquin Niemann
30 Aaron Rai
31 Akshay Bhatia
32 Thomas Detry
33 Andrew Novak
*34 Dustin Johnson
36 J.T. Poston *** would be my allocated player if it was done now ***
39 Taylor Pendrith *** would be my allocated player if it was done now ***
40 Lucas Glover *** DT as it stands ***
43 Nick Taylor *** DT as it stands ***
---------------------
44 Byeong Hun An
45 Tom Kim / Kim Joo-hyung
46 Max Greyserman
47 Stephan Jäger
48 Tom Hoge
49 Mackenzie Hughes
50 Jhonattan Vegas
52 Nico Echavarría
53 Michael Kim
and that's as far as it can possibly go for player allocation
Walla Walla Dawg II hates LIV so I am quite happy not to allocate him any LIV players - if anyone else would like to opt-out of LIV players you have until the end of this round of picks to do so - just post your objections.
I suppose it will be good fun for me to keep this list up to date as the final three make their picks.
So, I am faced with an issue with the LIV players. They don't fit into the ranking system so come up as an anomaly. I have therefore decided to ask AI to give me a more accurate reflection of their rankings for the purpose of round three and came with the following nominal rankingsExpanded details
* After we have made our picks, I will then put all remaining players back into ranking order and allocate each protagonist two further players - but in reverse draft order. So maoling will get the two highest remaining players, then baller the 3rd & 4th remaining player and so on.

I think SoB or maoling wanted a summary to assist him, can't remember which. So here's what's left - just pick one from each group, mate.
8 Seattle or Bust ON THE CLOCK -
9 baller- note that SoB might take a little longer to choose, so perhaps get two picks from each group posted? Don't forget Colin Montgomerie is not playing this year.
10 maoling - if you pick your top three in each group we can pretty much complete this round.
Group A - top remaining players from Official World Golf Rankings, Pick 1
WR16 Harris English
WR18 Keegan Bradley
WR19 Robert MacIntyre
WR20 Corey Conners
WR21 Sungjae Im
WR22 Wyndham Clark
WR23 Tyrrell Hatton
WR24 Ben Griffin
WR25 J.J. Spaun
WRLIV1 Joaquin Niemann
Group B - mostly players with qualifying exemptions, Pick 1
Aaron Rai
Akshay Bhatia
An Byeong-hun
Brian Campbell
Brian Harman
Cameron Smith
Chris Kirk
Christiaan Bezuidenhout
Davis Thompson
Dustin Johnson
Gary Woodland
Jacob Bridgeman
Laurie Canter
Matt Fitzpatrick
Matt McCarty
Matthieu Pavon
Phil Mickelson
Rasmus Højgaard
Ryan Gerard
Sam Stevens
Taylor Pendrith
Thriston Lawrence
Tom Hoge
Richard Bland (* seniors)
Group C - players ranked in Top 60 of Official Golf World Rankings who are not already exempt (alphabetical order)
Andrew Novak
Davis Riley
J. T. Poston
Jhonattan Vegas
Joe Highsmith
Lucas Glover
Mackenzie Hughes
Max Greyserman
Michael Kim
Nick Dunlap
Nick Taylor
Nico Echavarría
Stephan Jäger
Thomas Detry
Tom Kim / Kim Joo-hyung

As for ranking the 'left overs'
I'd just put the two ranking systems in different lists:
PGA
LIV
Then it's up to us with who we choose.
You don't have to do all of it you know. We can, on occasion, do our own citations and analysis.

Jinxed again Dave.
Sahith Theegala, who has missed tournaments this year because of a neck injury, confirmed Wednesday on social media that he has withdrawn from this week's RBC Canadian Open and will need to rest "for a little while."
"Doctors have advised me to put the clubs away for a little while, as I get treatment and some rest for an injury I've been battling the last few weeks, so this one stings," Theegala wrote on his Instagram account without specifying the injury.
