this is why odds are so meaningless. I can't believe reporters actually reference this shit now. The odds are completely beholden to how the teams actually perform. So why are you looking at odds? Just watch the L10 column in the standings.

that's a good point, its all about distribution, a different win loss distribution and its merely an interestingly tight race. I don't think even the last ten has much to tell. Its past performance, what's the likelihood of a team that has lost ten in a row or won to win or lose the next game?
