Tajuana and Twisp.
Twisp is a great choice, obviously. Twisp Whips, maybe or Twisp Tumbleweeds.

Tijuana would be interesting, but I'd say a place with a more authentic Mexican cartel vibe. I googled most dangerous city in Sinaloa, and it's Culiacan.
So, the team could be located there and called the Sinaloa Shotguns or Sinaloa Squirrels (for a family friendly feel).
The Sinaloa Sqirrels could have great promos. Dime Baggie Night. Poppy Seed Night. Make your own Meth Night. Assassin Bobblehead Night.....see all kinds of good ideas.

Maybe so, but I do think that a team somewhere in Mexico would be a great thing. THey would be packed every game.

I would have said a team in Mexico City, but it is just too far away, so I was trying to find something in north Mexico that had a large population.
Monterrey is interesting, over 5 million people in the city itself and not far from the border. I wonder how bad the crime is there?

Mexico City is also at 7K altitude, imagine Aaron Judge really getting into one there.

They should start clearing out small US cities and go international... Mexico City and Tokoyo would be good to start.... and the MLB should play 5 days a week, Tuesday thru Saturday and spend an entire week in the city.. rest Sunday, travel Monday. And later the League could expand to Singapore, Hong Kong,

I'm kind of thinking that nobody would want to play for Tokyo. 13 hour flight to New York, 16 hour flight to Los Angeles...even Honolulu would really be pushing it.

Agreed. That is why I am trying to keep it somewhat close to the boarders of the US.

I don't like Vancouver because that will take away from the small market of Seattle (the same can be said about a team in Portland).

Tijuana would take away from the smaller market of San Diego but may work because of the Mexican population.

All I really know for sure.....:
No team should have to fly over 6 hours to the other teams ballpark.
We need all the teams within somewhat close to the US boarder. Not because it's the American Pastime, but because nobody wants to be on the team from Japan and every other week have to fly to America....let alone the east coast.

Is Monterrey the wealthiest city in Mexico?

[AI Overview]
Yes, Monterrey is widely considered the wealthiest city in Mexico and one of the richest in all of Latin America. It serves as the industrial and business capital of northern Mexico, boasting a GDP per capita that is significantly higher than the national average.

The unparalleled wealth of the Monterrey metropolitan area is largely driven by its specific geographic and economic dynamics.

**************

It sounds like a great place for a MLB team.
With that kind of wealth, there has to be safer place than Mexico City. Well, duh.

Just comparing a map of current mlb team locations and a population density map, I'd say likely spots are...

-New Orleans (not just for New Orleans itself, but all along the gulf coast, Biloxi, Mobile, Tallahassee, there aren't many nearby mlb teams)

-Raleigh/Charlotte NC

-Nashville

-Salt Lake

None of those would interest me that much, maybe Salt Lake would be cool. I think Vancouver BC would actually work great and would hurt Toronto more than the Mariners (as far as stealing from another fanbase).

LA is closer to Tokyo than NYC is..... so the flight time is only 10hrs

Geez, not only did Google do me wrong, but I got them mixed up. 10 hours to LA, 12 1/2 to NYC.

Apparently it's only 2 1/2 hours more to NYC because the flight goes on a northerly route which cuts down the air distance.
