In a previous thread I brought up Chris Davis. https://www.baseball-reference.com/play ... ch02.shtml He had a 300-point drop from 2013 to 2014 which as horrible as it is isn't close to Cal's. Encouraging is that Davis recovered the next year.
Here's one that just popped into my head: https://www.baseball-reference.com/play ... ha01.shtml 379-point drop and he's very comparable to Cal. Wilson was a drunk who had the 56 HR/191 RBI season in 1930 and then showed up at spring training the next year with a big beer gut and spent the season and the rest of his short life (he died at 48) shitting the bed. I sure hope Cal isn't also a drunk. Even if he's injured, this just defies explanation.

Donno shaved and shorter hair looks weird. Alright great start for the offense. Kirby on the mound might not last long will see. Wow gotta keep Randy. We need a dh he can be it. He has earned it.
Kirby serves up a meatball to AL best hitter and he never misses those. Ouch. Cant believe LA traded him for nothing. They can win but wow so so stupid
FKKKKK KIRBY SUCKS. WAY WAY TOO HITTABLE. WELP LEAD WAS NICE FOR WHAT 30 MINS. KNEW IT WOULDENT LAST.
Kirby is not a good pitcher. Gotta trade him in off season for 3b hopefully
KIRBY U GET 2 FKKING OUTS THEN NOTHING. GET A FKKING OUT IDIOT.

Makes sense that Rogers Hurnsby was the manager for seattle's last chamionship baseball team .......in 1951.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 14, 2026 9:15 pmCal Raleigh's single-season OPS drop of 384 points is surprisingly not the biggest one in MLB history. Incredibly that distinction belongs to Rogers Hornsby who from 1925 to 1926 dropped from 1.245 to "only" .851 (394 points). However, he probably felt a lot better after tagging out Babe Ruth trying to steal second for the final out of the World Series that year.

This is the best comedy show ever. Watching Mariners get back into the game after blowing the lead. Good teams dont do that. Sux they are a horrd team!!!
