I'm hoping for the number three draft pick so the Pirates and KC can draft the two Vandy pitchers... We have enough...

Well, it's 3 pm on the West Coast and today's World Snooker Matches just ended.... Draining, I've been watching for 13 hours and the 2nd round gets underway at 2am tomorrow moring. So much tension, I don't know how those guys hold up.....Quarterfinals start Monday...Now to take a break maybe a nap, and get ready to watch some baseball....

With as much pitching as we have and free salary, we'll be able to bring g some big hitters on board through trade or free agency. Pitching is harder and more expensive to buy and TRADE FOR.
That being said, if we do miss out on the Vandy pitchers, the next 2 positions in the draft as of now, fill our in-house needs nicely, SS, 3B, and Catcher.

How about we fill our in house needs with a House?Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 10:10 pmI had a feeling you would be lol.AT Fresno wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 10:03 pmWell, it's 3 pm on the West Coast and today's World Snooker Matches just ended.... Best athletes are usually shortstops and centerfielders.... I do like position players that are good sized 6 ft three or so and have pitching skills, 95 mph+ fastballs which indicates a strong throwing arm...rather trade for catcher and ace...or expend a lot of picks on high school pitchers and interesting college relievers in the later rounds...Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 10:10 pmI had a feeling you would be lol.AT Fresno wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 10:03 pmWell, it's 3 pm on the West Coast and today's World Snooker Matches just ended.... So, far we have always gotten our best pitching through trades..Randy, Jamie, Cliff..or when we sign a kid younger than college... like Felis, Gil Meche, or Edwin Diaz...

Looks like you can take the Astro out of Houston but you can't take the Cheater out of the Astro....

Tonight's tidbit:
If iit were not for Covid, Nick Castellani's mother, Regina would be in the stands tonight watching her son, but instead she'll be watching from her home in Philadelphia. Regina retired after working over thirty years in the Phillies front office. So NickCastellani grew up a Phillies fan, son of longtime former Phillies staff member Regina Castellani, who helped start the organization’s relationship with the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the ALS Association. Regina served as the Phillies’ Director of Community Relations from 1982 to 2002, and as Manager of Phillies Charities from 2002 to 2006.
