Pickoffs should be counted as caught stealing so speedsters aren't given extra credit on ther SB/CS counts.

I wonder how many times Rickey Henderson was picked off in the season he stole 130 bases. I remember looking at his stats and he was caught stealing a ton that year.

Stealing at an 80% rate I believe is what they say a player needs to actually break even on stealing bases.

For example if a guy goes 8/10 stolen bases with 2 pickoffs added, he doesn't help the team.

Answer: Rickey Henderson was caught stealing 42 times that year and picked off 17 times.

*There's another source that says he was caught only 31 times, but I can't figure out why it's different than en everywhere else I looked.
