All you have to do is fire fastballs over the inside half of the plate and you'll easily overpower him. Sometimes he'll turn on one, but otherwise he either whiffs, fouls it back, or pops up on the left side of the infield. That's why I'm thinking he's already lost his bat speed and won't be getting it back. Not in a Mariner uniform anyway.
