Pretty good AB by Cal Raleigh for a rookie..... missed a golden opportunity for a sac fly.... swung at one outside the zone and missed a middle middle change..

Dammit, Raleigh got a total cookie there and whiffed.
Yea these kids have been doing that. They need to work on that so much. Damn Torrens hits it hard just right at someone. Alright Gravedigger. Need this win. Hoping has his best stuff tonight.

Dilly is a guy you keep as a super utility. He just makes things happen.
Not an everyday 2nd baseman.
He makes a great utility you're right. He'll probably have a couple seasons where he could be a starting 2B, but even as a pinch runner he can have a lot of value in the utility role as we see here.
He's not hitting like last year, but he's the best defensive 2nd baseman we have, best base stealer, and if he's stroking the ball, he'd be a great leadoff hitter or @2 hitter.
Good point Terry.

Trevor Story in Away games in 2021 has a .632 OPS
Dylan Moore in Away games in 2021 has a .700 OPS

If Moore can find that bat from last season he's a fancy piece of the offense, I like him, hope he can do it.

Seems like Cal cannot hit a breaking pitch. Needs to work on that. Seems to be all fastball hitter. Was his homer on breaking or fastball? Anyone know

Looking at the lineup today it looked a bit longer than usual. Torrins has been smoking since his return from T-town. Cal has been swinging a hot bat since the O-for start. I really wish we could have got Nellie. I wanted him in the offseason and would have like if we could have snagged him at the deadline.

I read on mlbtr we are linked to the Pirates 2nd B Frazier.

Is anyone thrilled about that?
I really wanted Nellie also, but the Rays overpaid for him in my opinion. Would not have been pleased if the M's had matched that offer.

Have read that about Frazier as well. Would definitely be a huge upgrade at 2nd and a nice table setter, but personally I see him as more of a complimentary piece, so I wouldn't say "thrilled", but certainly a nice addition and a nice upgrade. Just my 2 cents and others may have a different opinion.

Thanks to Diekman channeling his inner Rick Ankiel we're all going to be heroes in a few minutes.
