Kikuchi with another good game. Maybe doesn't look as pretty because of the runs, but 12Ks, and the last run should have never happened. Great to see Raleigh with his first HR as well. Excited to watch him hit. He can crush it.

I thought KK was really good tonight. Gave up a couple solo shots, and as you said, that 3rd run should have never happened. I always feel like we have a good chance of winning when he's on the mound even though he wasn't very good his previous 2 outings.
Love what I'm seeing from Cal, but was disappointed about the key strikeout in the 8th with a runner at 3rd and one out. But that HR he hit in the 2nd was a thing of beauty for sure. I'm high on him.

KIK held us in there like Flex did yesterday. I know the A's are always Pesky and coming off of the Yankees and Angels games it was important to not see bad starts become the trendline. If I go back to several weeks ago and KIK was sitting there with a 130 ERA+ I remember saying yep sure pick it up but he has to performs like an Ace the rest of the way.seattlefan-daBronx wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 5:28 amHell YEAH!!!

I think Raleigh and Kelenic should be hunting sliders cause they aren't going to be seeing a lot of fastballs in the strike zone until they show they can lay off sliders out of the zone and hit sliders in the zone....That home run was the last fastball in the zone Cal saw.

Yep, I agree. Was actually thinking the same thing earlier tonight. Kelenic in particular has been seeing nothing but sliders lately and he's missing them badly, and chasing them out of the strike zone. When he was up the first time, they were busting him up and in with fastballs. Now it's the sliders away. Kid is still learning to adjust, obviously, but I'm certainly not ready to give up on him after 100 AB's.AT Fresno wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 5:49 amI think Raleigh and Kelenic should be hunting sliders cause they aren't going to be seeing a lot of fastballs in the strike zone until they show they can lay off sliders out of the zone and hit sliders in the zone....That home run was the last fastball in the zone Cal saw.

I wonder when the last time a team (any team, anywhere) had its corner OFs batting 8, 9. ... And still is 6 games over .500.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Sat Jul 24, 2021 1:35 pmI think Bauer's days are numbered.D-train wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 11:22 pmLFG!
