Rays just DFAd this kid. Let's get him.

Trivia: Outfielder Hunter Renfroe, whom the Rays also designated for assignment, and Seattle righthander Kendall Graveman were Mississippi State teammates who were taken in the same 2013 MLB draft.

Four MSU Bulldogs drafted that year have appeared at the MLB level (three others have not).

Should the Mariners take a flier on righthander Dan Straily, a soon-to-be 32-year-old who this year posted a 2.50 ERA in 31 starts over 194.2 innings in the Korean Baseball Organization?

Straily, who went to high school and some college in Oregon, has trained at Driveline Baseball outside Seattle:

I don't have any idea, I think they have an opportunity to raise their floor this year though and they should take it.

Add two or three very good players at the right spots and they've done their job.

Seems like Hand was well liked around the forum a couple years ago, worth checking into if he hasn't fallen off the planet like relievers tend to

Makes us contenders in 3 moves. No reason they should sit back for another year waiting when they could show these kids what a decent/good season and a playoff run actually feels like instead of waiting to see how Marmolejos, Bishop and Margevicius pan out for whatever reason.

Fill the holes!
