This one confuses me, they already have too many infielders on the roster including 2 3B (Noelvi Marte and Spencer Steer)

I'd be ok with a SP trade to the Reds that nets us Marte and others back
Same thing the M's should be doing. Signing front line starting pitching to trade young controllable arms. Only the Reds are doing it with bats. It's why I'm still confused that Blake Snell is a FA.

Article arguing there was a lot of luck involved in Bellingers last season. He could be a decent player going forward but could be getting overvalued. I can understand what they are getting at. But FOs aren't stupid these days, this is pretty basic analytics. Why would they over value him?
Bellinger's xBA and xSLG were .268 and .434, but his actual stats show a .307 batting average and .525 slugging percentage. Bellinger grossly overperformed his expected batted ball metrics, something that is very unlikely to continue into future seasons.

According to FanGraphs, Bellinger's STEAMER projection for 2024 is a slash line of .256/.321/.449/.770 with 25 home runs and 18 stolen bases, numbers that are in line with his xBA and xSLG last season. An above-average hitter who is a solid defender certainly seems like a player that any team should love to have.

If you’re JP or Cal, why not come out and demand a trade if the team isn’t willing to spend money around you?

Force their hands.

They are not going to trade Marte but Steer might now be available.

I was just think about this today also. How long will it take for Julio to demand a trade elsewhere?!?!
Offseason is not over and I don't want to rush to judgement but so far the front office is ass backwards.

Why not?

They just signed Jeimer Candelario to I would assume play 3B

I'm also assuming 1B/DH will be covered by Encarnacion-Strand and Steer which leaves SS/2B to be filled by two of De La Cruz/McLain/Marte/India. We know they're trying to trade India but they could easily trade one of De La Cruz/McLain or Marte as well.

 They probably didn't want to risk having to pay for a 3rd water cooler in 2024. lol

Payroll constrained teams don't trade good 22 yo players making minimum wage.
