Most WAR projection systems give J.P. Crawford the edge over CJ Abrams the remainder of this season:

Abrams catches up on the ZiPS three-year projections:

It's like he posts this and thinks... maybe today D-Train will find my WAR projections compelling.

We all have the privilege of assigning appropriate weight to the projections of established systems and to the opinions of a poster who vehemently advocated in the 2022-23 offseason that the Mariners replace J.P. Crawford with Tim Anderson.

Great. I have the ability to admit I was wrong.

Now do you have the ability to not post worthless WAR projections when nobody asks for them?

Not that I care given that your criticism of me is putting a plan together of my own when you rely on AI to tell you everything you know.

And guess what weirdo, your beloved Zips projected Anderson to have 2.0 fWAR before the 2023 season. So do us all a favor and stop posting like it means anything.

I thought I would do a quick run down of teams that are below .500 who might have some parts we could use.

AL West
LAA 13-20
Rental SP Tyler Anderson pro-rated p[ortion of a 13M$ salary. 156 ERA+ and that lefty juice plays pretty well in Seattle.

AL Central
16-20 Twins (They started 7-15) SO they may not be sellers but something to watch

Byron Buxton 125 OPS+ 1.1 BWAR 33 games played. He has 7/7 SB 8 HR 2 triples, 5 doubles. He is owed 3X15.1M with up to 11.1 M in incentives.

Jhoan Durán is one of the finest closers in the game but you'd have to value him as something like Munoz so it would cost multiple top 100's. And the Twins would have to believe it is time to reset.

Danny Coulombe* who has 13+ innings of ERA is a lefty we could have just signed in the offseason. He'd be cheaper than Duran but would give the M's another lefty weapon.

CWS 10-26
SP Martín Pérez* He has a 129 ERA+ and is owed pro-rated 3.5M and mutual 10M or 1.5M buy out. Like Tyler Anderson lefties play well in Seattle and he has TOR potential and should be able to be had on the cheap.

AL East
Balt. 13-21 5.8% to make postseason
Ramón Urías 2B/3B/SS, 109 career OPS+, 122 OPS+ this year. Rental

Ryan O'Hearn* (1, DH, OF) His last 3 years 122, 121, 176 OPS+

TB:16-19, 3rd place in AL_East (Schedule and Results)

Playoff Odds: 16-19 45.3% post season odds. Minor league field.

Pete Fairbanks big dude 6'6" with a 201 ERA+ and is a closer rental but only pitched to a 112 ERA+ last year.

Yandy? 107 OPS+

Drew Rasmussen 133 ERA career 131 this year He has a cheap contract with an option for 2027

There are some decent players that may come to be available. I'll rundown the NL clubs another day
