5/12 G/T: Dunn Dominant - Dials Dodgers Down

I don't know that we need him going 7-8 innings though, so I'm not as concerned about pitch count. If we get 6 innings and fewer than 3 runs, its a good start from Dunn.

Agree, 8 is too much to expect, at least at this stage from him. I’d like to get 6-7 from him consistently. So far this year he’s averaged, what, 5 per start ? Swagging that so it could be different, but probably not by much.

I'm still not convinced he isn't going to end up in the bullpen. If he can gain 2-3 mph in the pen and throw high 90s, then I think he can be a pretty good setup guy.

And maybe that’s a good point. Arm strength. Perhaps he’s better in shorter stints. In any event, we probably haven’t seen that wide of a breaking pitch out of the bullpen since Jeff Nelson.
