So Tomorrow is a travel day all the way to Florida. Mariners are rested, including the pen. That's good, I don't expect Julio or Donovan to make the trip. GLAD TO HAVE ROBLES TO COVER CENTER!! The Mariners showed a little life with a home run from the dead, a double, 4 singles, and two walks....but the real story of this game was pitching, Hancock, Spier, and Munoz-absolutely stellar innings 1-9.

Six important games starting Tuesday against Miami and Tampa Bay, two teams that are young, well coached and formidable. I'D LOVE TO GET 4 WINS ON THE ROAD.... THEN COMES A COUPLE OF DAYS REST, the returns of J-Rod and Donovan, some trade craziness and some callups from the minors. Party time is over, LET'S ROLL!!!

I still find it remarkable that Julio needed to miss more than one game. How about Seth Lugo taking a 107 mph liner to the forehead and they only had to move his next start back a couple days. If that had been Julio he would have gone on the 60 day IL. Such a soft organization...

Can they make this only giving up 2 runs all series? Wow this pitching is just lethal. Marlins next they are lethal very dangerous team. Should be a fun series hopefully!!
MUNOZ WITH 5 100 mph 4-seamers to close out the game!!! What a magnificent job of pitching today!!
Two masterful pitching gems, two days in a row.

That I agree.

Took an 80 mph throw off the helmet and has to miss time?

We serious?

Mariners win! We're HEROES!!!

Back to dogshit hitting but they got the most out of it. And back to back shutouts of the cheaters.

By the way, I'm one of the guys who thought Hancock was a bust. Happy to eat that crow.

Yeah, David...I'm one of those guys who thought Hancock was a waste also. It's amazing to watch, he's become a slinger. He reminds me of Castillo with his sweeper. The arm angle coming horizontal (absolute right angle to Tresavage). He getting used to rhythm and after yesterday's performance I changed my mind about thinking he might be traded. I am convince that Castillo is the man with the short straw now...
