It isn't so much that he left Millone in too long. It was that he brought in Gearrin with men on the bases.

Just watched Game 7 of the Stanley Cup, the Blues won their first one tonight. There is NO trophy presentation in sports like the Cup. NONE. And in a couple years Seattle is going to have a shot at it if management doesn't screw it up.

Well, there was one out and a runner on first so that was reasonable.

How does Jerry manage to find one loser after another to fill his bullpen? He was a major league pitcher, wasn't he? Jesus. Maybe they need to re-hire Zduriencik to sign relief pitchers.

What other crappy reliever would you advise he brings in? There really isn't a right answer with this bullpen.

The problem is, most of these relievers are low leverage type relievers. They are fine when there is a 4-5 run lead or they are behind, but put any pressure on them and they choke. They got rid of their 3 best relievers, all of whom are better than anything they have now (nicasio, Diaz, Colome) and probably a few others. It was a choice to step back and hope to find some diamonds in the rough. So far they are unsuccesful.
